Rob Rudd is a Vice President and Branch Manager with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and has spent more than two decades helping families navigate one of life’s biggest financial decisions: buying a home. Since graduating from the University of Virginia in 2003, Rob has built a career centered on relationships, trust, and delivering exceptional mortgage experiences. Over the course of his career, he has helped thousands of families achieve homeownership and has personally originated more than $1 billion in home loans. Since 2013, he has consistently ranked among the top 1% of mortgage lenders nationwide.
Outside of work, Rob’s world centers around his family. He has been married to his wife, Taylor, since 2010, and together they are raising their three daughters in Richmond, Virginia. Whether he’s attending concerts with his oldest daughter, competing on the golf course or tennis court with his middle daughter, or helping his youngest daughter build elaborate pillow forts in the living room, Rob treasures the everyday moments that come with being a husband and father. Friday nights are often reserved for family board game nights, where laughter, friendly competition, and family traditions have become some of his favorite memories.
When he isn’t working with clients or spending time with his family, Rob enjoys reading, painting, playing guitar, staying active, and continually looking for ways to grow personally and professionally. His commitment to balance, service, and lifelong learning shapes both his approach to life and the way he serves his clients.
Rob believes that every mortgage is more than just a transaction. It’s the foundation for a family’s future. His combination of experience, accessibility, and genuine care allows him to guide clients confidently through the home financing process while helping them make informed decisions for their long-term financial goals.
Carter Brownrigg is a Mortgage Advisor and licensed Loan Originator with Fairway Mortgage who is passionate about helping clients make confident, informed financial decisions. Before entering the mortgage industry, Carter spent 12 years teaching high school mathematics, including AP Calculus, Precalculus, and Geometry. A graduate of the University of Virginia, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Teaching.
Carter joined Rob Rudd’s team to combine his passion for education, problem-solving, and serving others in a new way. He believes the best mortgage experience is one that feels simple, seamless, and empowering. Known for breaking down complex financial concepts into clear, understandable terms, he helps clients feel confident throughout the homebuying process.
Outside of work, Carter is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and instructor, serves as a youth group leader at his church, and enjoys reading, basketball, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Kiley. He is also fluent in Spanish.

With a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, Lindsey assists in streamlining loan applications, verifying documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Known for excellent communication and organizational skills, Lindsey is dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals with efficiency and ease.
I am the Production Manager for the Rudd Team and have worked for Rob for over 17 years. I am a licensed loan officer in 10 states and looking forward to helping you through the mortgage process. My role begins once you are under contract and you have finalized your loan strategy with Rob or Carter. As your liaison to the underwriter and approval process, I will guide you through the process to get your loan approved as quickly and smoothly as possible. We work hard to make sure you are comfortable with every step in the process. Once we have your loan fully approved I will also help you understand the final numbers; your future mortgage payment and your cash to close.
I have three children all active in several sports, so I’m also a part-time chauffeur. I love spending time with my kids and wife who is a Fairfax County teacher. I love the outdoors, whether biking, skiing, hiking or fishing.
